This is actually our building, it overhangs a creek.
We check out, copping just a little bit of a rant about Obama-care, and off we go to pick up
Raff and stopping to fill up - very odd price increments...
Grab a coffee at the nice cafe from yesterday and then head to the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery - where the legend of the Headless Horseman supposedly began.
It's a rambling old cemetery and the trees are all colours of the fall, so it's quite an interesting walk.
And there is the family plot and headstone of Washington Irving - the author of the Headless Horseman.
And we saw a chipmunk!
Then down to Philipsburg Manor - where the haunted house was last night. We were hoping to use the restrooms before driving back to town but it was closed, but we were able to see the lovely mill house in the light.
Then to the town sign...
Then the drive to our new apartment in Greenwich Village where we meet up with Robbie, who is joining us this week!
And the apartment is fantastic! And it's one of THE places to live in New York. And it's right next door to one of the vegetarian places I had been wanting to try. Went for a bit of a stroll after we moved in, great neighbourhood.
And here's our door, between the two shops...
As you walk in.
Robbie is on the sofa bed. Here's the boys' room, on the left.
Kitchen, on the right.
And my room, past the kitchen - bit too small to photograph.
Brett arrived back from dropping off the car...
We sat for a bit before heading into town, back to see Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812. Dinner at the nice pub we went to the other night, Raff met us there, then to the theatre. I got a seat at the front of the stalls, to get a different perspective and it was great again!
Picked up more little bits, enjoyed the same bits again, loved the fantastic bits again, hated the same song again and I had Robbie for company this time - Shaun, Brett and Raff all loved it and I hated it. Robbie did too! It's such an excellent show.
The five of us are in different seats all over the theatre, as we wanted different prices and seats. I was sitting next to an older Jewish lady and chatted to her before the show. She went to a lot of theatre and was amazed at how many show we were seeing. At interval she did ask me what exactly was going on! I did manage to get one of the pierogis they were handing out at the start of the show this time - it was delicious!
After the show we went back to the nice bar we've been to before and I had a cocktail this time - a Willy Wonka - delicious...
Rum and creamy with a toasted marshmallow, yummy. Then onto the train and back home in the Village.
